Grace Wambu, Ed.D, LPC, NCC
Dr. Grace Wambu is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey with more than 5 years of clinical work experience. She has extensive experience working with clients struggling with a variety of mental health concerns including depression, stress and anxiety, relationship issues, coping with grief and loss, & career difficulties. Dr. Wambu has also worked with clients struggling with substance misuse in both residential and outpatient treatment centers. She specializes in working with adolescents, college students, and adult clients, as well as couples in both individual and group therapy settings. During treatment, she utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach as her foundational theoretical framework, however, she also integrates techniques from other counseling approaches including Gestalt therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Client-centered Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy to meet the needs of the client. Dr. Wambu considers each client unique, consequently she collaboratively works with the client to design the best interventions specific to their needs. Dr. Wambu believes that “you are the expert of your story,” and you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming the things that challenge you.
